“I remember when my mom sat me down and showed me the front page of a newspaper. It showed one of the planes going into the World Trade Center. I was around 5 years old and I didn’t really understand but I do remember how hard my mom was holding her tears. 9/11 is a special day for our family because we could’ve lost our mom that day, but thank God my little sister had a doctors appointment. So today is a day to pray for all the lives lost and also be thankful for who we have in our lives now.”

Setsu is a survivor of the September 11, World Trade Center attack.
She used to work in the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

Setsuは、
当時、Setsuはワールドトレードセンターのノースタワー（
“Recuerdo cuando mi mamá me sentó y me mostró la página principal de un periódico, la cual mostraba uno de los aviones estrellándose contra las torres gemelas. Yo tenía cinco años y en ese momento realmente no entendía lo que pasaba pero recuerdo a mi madre duramente conteniendo las lágrimas. El 9/11 es un día importante para nuestra familia porque pudimos haber perdido a nuestra madre si ella no llevaba a mi hermanita a una cita con el Doctor. Entonces hoy es un día para rezar por todas esa vidas perdidas y para estar agradecido por aquellos que están todavía a nuestro lado”
