冬はニューヨーク以上に寒い印象がありますが、

So, guess where I am right now?
As of today, I'm visiting Chicago, Illinois! 😊
My "Doraemon" husband is giving a presentation at the American Chemical Society conference here in Chicago, so I tagged along on this trip.
I always think of Chicago as being even colder than NY in the winter, but right now it feels wonderfully summery, bustling with tons of tourists.
We took a taxi from the airport to our hotel, and our driver—a total ex-hippie type who couldn't hide his sharp intelligence—was such a wonderful person❣️Traffic on the highway was backed up for over two hours, but he spent the whole time sharing all kinds of insights about Chicago, from the famous tourist spots to local hidden gems that tourists rarely visit. It was so much fun that I didn't even mind the heavy traffic.
To everyone in Chicago, I can't wait to see you all!

A ver, a ver... ¿dónde se imaginan que estoy ahora mismo?
¡La verdad es que a partir de hoy estoy de visita en Chicago, Illinois! 😊
Mi querido esposo "Doraemon" tiene una presentación en el congreso de la Sociedad Estadounidense de Química que se celebra aquí en Chicago, así que lo acompañé en este viaje.
Siempre me ha dado la impresión de que el invierno aquí es aún más frío que el de Nueva York, pero ahora mismo tiene todo el ambiente veraniego, muy animado y lleno de turistas.
Tomamos un taxi desde el aeropuerto hasta el hotel y el taxista —un señor con un estilo súper ex-hippie, pero que no podía ocultar una inteligencia tremenda— ¡fue una excelente persona! ❣️ Había un tráfico enorme en la autopista y el trayecto tardó más de dos horas, pero se la pasó contándonos todo tipo de cosas sobre Chicago, desde los puntos turísticos más conocidos hasta los lugares locales más populares que los turistas casi nunca visitan. Fue un momento tan divertido que ni me molestó el embotellamiento.
¡A toda la gente de Chicago, me hace mucha ilusión poder verlos!
